A Fire Inside

Award-winning photojournalist Matthew Abbott spent months on location capturing the catastrophic Australian Black Summer bush fires as they unfolded first-hand and his compelling images made headlines around the world. His photographs have etched themselves into our collective memory, as have the stories behind them.

A Fire Inside was created to accompany the feature-length documentary of the same name documenting Australia’s Black Summer bushfires of 2020–21.
